I love nothing more on a chilly Sunday morning, while everyone in the house is still asleep, than sipping on a coffee and flipping through some wonderful cookbooks.
Does anyone have a favourite cookbook? Pictures appreciated but not necessary - eg. Julia Child is food pron enough without pictures. 0 |
| Smitten Kitchen |
| Anything by Alice Waters. It feels so luxurious, until you realize that you make every recipe incorrectly if you didn't pre-grow the vegetables for the recipe yourself. |
| Ottolenghi |

Food Porn ?
|
| I think the Pioneer Woman's recipes are pretty much food porn. Nothing too uppity, but most are pretty amazing looking and tasting. |

Easy:
Plenty Plenty More Ottolenghi Jerusalem The Forest Feast Cookbook Hot, Sour, Salty and Sweet Beyond the Great Wall Mangoes and Curry Leaves Flatbreads and Flavors Burma: Rivers of Flavor Anything by Deborah Madison Anything by Mark Bittman Anything by Georgeanne Brennan |
| Momofuku Milk. I have a serious sweet tooth, but I have zero intention of making these ridiculous recipes, so I just drool over the pictures. |
| Food of Life, by Najmieh Batmanglij. Amazing Persian food. As an added bonus, she lives in DC and periodically teaches wonderful cooking classes out of her home. |
|
I used to live by a discount bookstore and got a few great cookbooks rather cheaply.
One of my favorites is similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Food-Journeys-Lifetime-Extraordinary-Places/dp/1426205074/ref=sr_1_9?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1425689900&sr=1-9&keywords=food+around+the+world It's cool to see around the world without leaving the sofa. |
