So, another day goes by and we still don't know anything.

Well Michigan soccer posted on Facebook that the decision has been punted and it hasn't been disavowed yet, so that's basically a done deal. Right?

The news is it's not happening for next year. Fall 2026-2027 season at the earliest that a switch would happen, but it's up to a vote again

If it is a phased approach, then there is still a possibility that ECNL, GA and E64 goes to SY next fall. Rec leagues do not care about college recruiting anyway.

No there's not.

Keep trying through.

If this is true and by all signs it looks like it may be, this just confirms they are kicking the can down the road which leaves everything uncertain for another year. Why do that? What incompetent people. Make a decision and be done with it

How about we all look at the birth months of our kids current rosters and post the number/percentage of kids born in Q3/Q4

I'm quite sure every single ECNL team in the dmv are represented in these 2,000 pages

I’ll start - my DD’s ECNL team has four Q4 starters! Four! That’s gonna be a shake up. I’m wondering where they’re gonna get extra talent from because the team one age group above only has one trapped player. I’m hoping there are good ECNL-RL players hiding somewhere otherwise her team is about to be decimated. And for all the people who say that those starters will just play up — for how long? and why would you continue to play up when it hurts your recruiting chances? Better to start playing with your new team so you can get used to playing with each other before the recruiting years begin.

You have no clue.

My daughters 2010 team has 3 trapped players and 2 start. The 2 that start (my daughter and the goalie) have already told each other that they're not playing down with the 2011s.

The 1 trapped player that doesn't start hasn't told anyone what she wants to do. The player is really good and works her butt off on the field. Her mom unfortunately is a nasty social climbe who's burned multiple bridges along the way. I don't know if her ego will let her daughter play down or if her willingness to do whatever it takes to win will have her front of the line for those looking to play down.

It will be an interesting social experiment watching how different parents react.

What if 6 girls from within 50 miles comes out for tryouts, born August - December 2009? What if your daughter is "offered" a spot on the 2010-2011 ECNL team but not the 2009-2010 team? Is your daughter planning now to tryout at all the ECNL/GA clubs within 50 miles?

We will see. I still think the National League will start earlier.

The longer that Facebook post is up without anyone else posting corroborating information, the less legit it seems

How dare you suggest the misspelled, blurry facebook post on a random rec league page isn't the gospel for all of youth soccer. How dare you apply any logic to this madness whatsoever.

It has a whopping one comment. That seals it for me! Totally legit way to deliver the news.

Yea, that's happened before and she still starts.

BTW SY lost. Sleep tight tonight.

The smart clubs will play up and sell this as "your kid is good enough to play against olders for 1 year". If this already known to take place in 2 years instead of 1, we're going to have all kinds of craziness until fall of 2026. Lots of movement throughout the 2025-2026 year if we're waiting.
