Just being nosy and wondering what everyone else, and other ob practices put in, their goody bags after officially learning you're expecting. My old practice gave out a really nice tote bag with a ton of free samples, coupons, brochures, etc. I have since switched practices for my 3rd pregnancy and only got a small plastic bag with some flyers and hardly any samples. Oh well.
What was in yours? |
| Not a damn thing. |
| Goody bag? Seriously? Never heard of that. |
Nope. They gave me an orange drink once but it was for a test.
|
| There was no goody bag. |
| Nothing. Thankfully. I don't need more stuff. |
| It's not from them. It's from company's trying to get your business, and the OB office just passes it along. With my second pregnancy I got a cute cooler bag by Similac filled with coupons, samples, etc. |

| I'm thankful my OB and hospital where I delivered does not do the free sample crap. They aren't doing it to be nice. |
| Pregnant with my first, didn't get anything- including no congratulations. Never heard of any of my friends getting anything either. |

I got lots of free samples of different prenatal vitamins, none of which I used, since I'd already found a good vitamin I could stomach. They should save them for the people who really struggle to afford prenatal vitamins, and give them away BEFORE 12 weeks, when the folic acid is really crucial.
Now, I did like my free diaper bags at the Inova hospitals...I could give away the formula to friends, and I use them. Then again, I'm thrifty and not very stylish. |
| Nothing here either. Who was your OB where you got this magical goody bag? |
| Sounds tacky. Did it contain formula samples?? |
| None for pregnancy, but after birth at GW they sent me home with a free diaper bag with a bottle cooler, starter kit of formula, and a manual breast pump. |
| Nothing. My OB didn't promote formula. |
