Do you go to the gym when you have houseguests?

Does it depend on who the houseguest is...family/friend? Length of stay? Whether they have a car or not? Whether there's one person or 2+ people visiting (presumbly they can entertain each other..)

I never have done this and not surprisingly, I'm not in shape either....

Are you the houseguest in this scenario?

It depends on how dedicated I am at the time. Usually I'm too lazy, but I look back fondly on times I would. I promise myself soon I won't let everything stop me anymore.

No, I'm the host.

If it's a good friend only in town for one night, then I'll skip it and invite them to come with me to walk the dog or something so at least I get some movement in that day.

Otherwise I invite them with me and go even if they don't want to come.

I don't see why you couldn't go to the gym. I don't want to spend every single waking moment with anyone, let alone a houseguest.

Maybe go to the gym while your guest goes to see a friend, out sightseeing...that kind of houseguest? If it's someone like my mom, then more challenging...she kind of expects to be included in every activity, even if it is just sitting around or watching tv...

for starters I go to the gym at 6am. The houseguest would probably be asleep. If it's a late night then I'll just put my sneakers on and run outside the next morning.

I exercise on vacation and really only skip if sick.

Of course.

For committed people, they make the gym like any other appointment. They don't cancel just for a house guest.

I don't think you're out of shape because you have a house guest

Depends on the scenario. Friend I haven't seen for years, in town for one night? No. Sister staying a few days or someone who tends to sleep late? Sure, though I might cut it short. Or as a PP said , invite them. When I was training for something I was much more likely to figure out a way to fit in a workout

I do. Maybe not if my guests were here for 1-2 nights, but my guests tend to stay a week!

Yes, I always go to the gym regardless of who is visiting. I invite them to come with me but always go anyway of they say no.

This is a strange question.
