I think she is simply making an observation about her general attitude towards health and fitness. she might be wondering how health minded people approach fitness when they are thrown out of their routine. Healthy fit people don't try to find any little excuse not to work out or eat well. it is a mindset that enables one to remain fit after 35. |
| I fit my workouts in along with other things. If I have a friend coming in at 8 pm and leaving at noon the next day, I won't go to the gym at 9 am. Everyone needs rest days, so I plan for a rest day when my guest will be here. For a longer visit, I'd just go or see if they want to join me. I wouldn't take two weeks off of the gym for a houseguest or anything. |
| Yes. My guests can come along if they want. Otherwise, I let them stay at my house for ~2 hrs by themselves or go out to whatever is ok too. |
| I do, but I make sure I schedule my gym time for a time when it wouldn't inconvenience anyone, like first thing in the morning while the house is just waking up. Generally, my houseguests are my parents, and I just leave my daughter with them so they get some time with her. |
| No of course not. It's rude. |
|
I don't go to the gym, but more often than not, I go running.
|
| I work out at home when we have guests. |
| I did. We now have a spin bike in the basement and run outside mostly (due to schedules and where we live) and I do both when guests are in town. But usually that's family, my dh's friends (so he is primary entertainer), or my friend's who want to come with for a run or gym trip. |
| I've been committed to fitness for 25 years but when I have houseguests, I don't go to the gym. But really my only houseguests are my brother and his family, and I rarely get to see them, so I feel like I'm wasting precious time with my little nephews if I disappear to the gym for two hours. |
| If it's just one or two nights and I don't see the guests often, I'll skip it. If it's several nights, yeah, an hour or two out of the house is fine. And I'm not the most dedicated gym-goer, just going a couple of times a week. |
