Montgomery county does not deport people or do they prevent the deportation of people.

ICE has an office at major crimes and they sit with moco detectives. They even hand over perps that don’t have enough evidence to convict.

How do you know the immigrant victim would have encountered the rapist in her country? You dont. But you do know had he been prevented from getting to sanctuary county MoCo, this particular rape would have been prevented.

MoCo honors an ICE detainer for only a few hours, so often the suspects slip away before ICE can get there. With one recent rape suspect, MoCo called the personal cellphone of an ICE contact, on the weekend, while he was on vacation, then cut the suspect loose when they got no answer. ICE has a 24-hour hotline for this purpose which MoCo didn't use.

How about honoring the ICE detainer for 24 hours like they do in Frederick County?

So this latest guy had multiple run ins with the police in MoCo and instead of verifying that he was here legally and thus would have caught him earlier and deported him, they let him go... And he had the opportunity to rape a girl. These sanctuary policies are dangerous and women and children are the collateral. Wow. That makes rape #9 by an illegal immigrant in MoCo since July 25. Apparently Elrich has said to notify ICE but release the suspect as soon as he posts bond. No 24-hour hold like Frederick.
