Why does the top picture of Michelle have the band name “Metallica” emblazoned beside her chair? Is that not odd or am I missing something?

I'm guessing because Michele's suit in that pic is some kind of metalic color, but only Michele, the stylist and the photographer would know that, it really doesn't translate in a overly busy collage with tiny images, in a small instagram frame. Not to mention metalic and Metallica (the band's logo - is that even legal?) speaks to a very few people. This "stylist" is truly clueless.

Wow, you accurately dissected that, and I believe you are right! I could not make a connection between Mrs. Obama and Metallica whatsoever.

If the stylist styled Mrs O on the WH- why is she doing such a horrific job now? Michelle’s WH clothes were usually fashionable. I didn’t like the belts but it’s really not my business what other people wear. I am very confused by the stylist and her insta.

Michelle looks amazing on every staged/photoshoped pictures. She is not an icon on a daily basis, sorry. She just doesn't have that class in her.
