Watching "Outdaughtered" again

Kate 2.0. So according to Hazel, Danielle BEATS that poor little puppy for having accidents in the house when they aren't smart enough to take it out in time, crate it when busy, or potty-train it. Out of the mouths of babes! The producers must really hate her to show that clip; there will be heck to pay! I've always thought Danielle was a pushy B, but she's really letting that flag fly high so far this season... Thank goodness those girls have gentle, kind, quiet, empathetic Adam around most of the time now -- especially poor Parker and Riley!

Actually, the truly smart thing would be not adding a new infant to an already completely overwhelmed household. Adam is a real asshole for bringing home ANOTHER pet, and a brand-new puppy at that. He knew he wasn't going to take care of it, and Danielle explicitly told him they weren't ready for a dog.

On the show, Adam undermines her. He accepted that job without consulting (did they even discuss the new job?) after he quit his other job to be around for his family more often. Then he brings this dog into the house when she asked him not to. Anyone remember the BUNNY he brought home? Onto her new business venture. When she brought up that she needed something for herself, he was not supportive. Show me your business plan when you have one. He's acts like a baby.

As an aside, Parker's anxiety comes from HIM. Adam is the Eyore in the family.

Don't forget this is a TV show - edited to create story arcs and emotional reactions that keep a viewer coming back. I wouldn't put much value in any one story. I do agree that over time you can see patterns but any one story can be directed or edited to tell the story the producers want told.

Adam doing a dumb thing (and it was, if as shown) isn't the puppy's fault, but - predictably - Danielle takes her anger out on it (along with Adam, I'm sure). No wonder a tiny puppy has become aggressive. In other Dumb People Tricks, they've given "Beaux" (which is plural; it should be just Beau) his own Instagram page and show him "swimming" in the family pool. Uh, French Bulldogs can't swim; they're front-heavy and sink like rocks. Like BunBun before him, whom Danielle also resented, Beaux-Beaux probably isn't long for the world... Whoops; someone left the pool gate open!

I'm guessing the dog has his own Instagram page because they're going to start selling dog-related stuff. I really can't stand Danielle or Adam and can't wait until they fade into obscurity.

I'll be watching tonight, but I fear this new season will be just a bunch of poorly scripted lines being fed to cash-cow kids now old enough to repeat them more or less convincingly. When I think of all the cute footage of the quints just playing and talking together that they missed out showing in favor of Mimi's career difficulties, Danielle's failed spin cycle business, and Adam's "post-partum depression" or whatever that strange interlude with the now-suicided Nashville pastor really was...

Do you all REALLY think that she didn’t know he was bringing home a puppy? I mean, REALLY? She’s not that great or an actor...you could tell she knew.

The "counselor" (not counselor) megachurch pastor who looked just like him that he went to see in Nashville -- it came out later because the pastor kept contacting HIM -- committed suicide a month or so ago, leaving behind his wife and children. Adam paid tribute to him on his Instagram and it was in the news.

Totally.

It’s telling that the director included the footage of Hazel saying that Danielle spanks the puppy. Spanks that tiny puppy!! What an awful woman.

The producers obviously hate Danielle, haha. Facebook comments have turned against her. Next week she attempts damage control, turning on the water works for sympathetic fans!

I'm starting to become deeply saddened by this show. I've watched every episode, but after finding out that Danielle beats that adorable little puppy, and after the horrible way she treats Riley, I just feel so sad and worried for these girls and the puppy. I'm worried that something really bad might happen.

Not to mention, poor Parker has terrible anxiety and is obviously very uncomfortable on camera, but still she's expected to be her parents' meal and frequent vacation ticket. It's disturbing.
