Isn't Clinton up for election? |
Is Hillary rallying around the Confederate flag the way the conservatives are? No, I don't think so. Now go sit down before you hurt yourself. |
What change? Removing a flag? Change is what you saw in SC, when there was a huge outcry about the murders and huge support for the families and the church. Actually, I take that back. That was NOT change. That was Americans being Americans. That was the real America that liberals don't want to believe exists. And when they didn't get their 'cause', they created one. Sick. |
Americans being Americans, and reacting nobly to tragedy, is not sick. But people are reexamining symbolism, which is change. |
Yes I agree that was real change. People weren't isolating and identifying themselves along racial lines or political ideologies (ahem...), people came together in the humanitarian interest of one another and the shared commonality of being Americans. And, like I said, the fact is it once again took the supreme sacrifice of upstanding African Americans to spark that change. So, having said that, why are you trying to destroy it and disrespect it with this divisive liberal and Democrat bashing bullshit? |
Liberals creating a cause when they don't see the discord they expected (i.e. white conservatives dancing in the streets about the murders, etc) is what's sick. You can change all the symbols you want. It won't stop other Dylann Roofs out there. |
I suppose the reason I don't understand your point is because I'm not a liberal. I don't think SC should take the flag off their capitol grounds to stop another Roof, I think they should do it because it doesn't belong there. |
Really, you need to drop your attacks on "liberals" because you are just making yourself look foolish. Republicans are removing flags and statues that liberals didn't even know about. If you value unity, why are you doing your best to destroy this time of unity? Liberals and Conservatives are standing together in solidarity and all you want to do is attack. If you are upset about the vestiges of the Confederacy being removed, blame the Republicans who are doing almost all of it. You seem to be on a kick of accusing liberals of doing things based on feelings. This is really weird because one of the first debates between you and me involved you taking the position that it didn't matter what was true about someone because you "felt" it was true. I remember nearly being beside myself that an otherwise intelligent person would take a such a position. But, putting that aside, a thinking person would realize that Republicans are taking actions that are being applauded by liberals. A thinking person who valued unity would cheer such a thing. But, you seem to have an emotional need to attack. So, maybe you need to rethink your accusations about liberals being all about feelings? |
On point Jeff ![]() |
Said the poster who said they could not put a mosque so close to "hallowed ground". |
She was rallying around it in 2008 - oh wait, that's when she was competing against little-known newcomer Barack Obama. But hey, it was "way back" in 2008, right? There are 2008 campaign buttons for her bearing that flag - becuase she used it to try to get southern votes. Let's fast forward to a few weeks ago: the former New York Senator was pandering to the south with a completely FAKE southern accent. Where oh where is that video clip of her attacking the confederate flag in her fake southern drawl? NOWHERE - Because it wasn't an issue for her a few weeks back. You were saying? |
Didn't y'all bring up tons of shit from Romney's past? Yes, I believe you did. This is a pretty bad part of Hillary's past. I mean, she's racist! |
Hillary said "all lives matter" in that church. And damned if the liberals didn't trounce her for it
WTF? All live DO matter!! |
That's like saying just leave the swastikas vandals spray-paint on synagogues up because getting rid of the symbol won't eliminate anti-Semitism. What an idiot. |
I don't recall anyone trying to fly a confederate flag over that church, or next to it. |
