Mon dieu! |
Ainsley sounds trashy to me. |
|
I think some people are confusing trashy names with pretentious names.
Pretentious names are not Ainsley, Paisley, Reagan, Tiffany or Mercedes but Arabella, Nathaniel, Rosamund, Matilda, Juliette, etc |
Nathaniel and Matilda? Matilda is just an old, old lady name. |
| Remington (girl) |
|
Emily Kate
John Charles |
Old lady names are everywhere these days. Matilda is pretentious because of: its literary and aristocratic roots, popularity in the UK, Michelle Williams' daughter. I see it as being in the same category as Harriet, Josephine, and Florence. |
| Beckett - but maybe it also is associated with the air given off by the parents |
|
Kensington
Could not possibly be trying harder. |
Huh. This makes me think of guns and pick-up trucks. |
+1 |
+1 Just say no to ancient people names. |
| Kensington wins! |
| Johan - ugh |
| It’s interesting how names can read as trashy or pretentious to different people. Names like Beckett, Ainsley, Remington sound very Teen Mom to me. |
