Lol to anyone who believes this drivel and then wants to claim the NYT erred in its reporting on this conflict. "Sources close to" could mean literally anything, and based on the Daily Mail's track record, likely means a Daily Mail reporter who has an in with with someone who met Taylor once.

I strongly google to believe that Taylor would ditch Lively now after very publicly supporting her last summer and fall when she was getting all that press. I also don't believe Taylor "feels used." Taylor has a track record of very publicly allowing herself to "be used" to help her friends. Like taking Brittany Mahomes under her wing or publicly supporting Sophie Turner during her divorce from Joe Jonas. It's one of the ways she flexes her power, by using her umbrella to support and defend her friends, especially when she feels they are being treated badly by the press or other powerful people. Basically exactly what Lively describes in her "khaleesi" text, actually. That's what Taylor does and she's proud of it.

Are you seriously comparing the NYT to Daily Mail? Wow. I’m sure they’d love that comparison

The fact is people assume the NYT is ‘meticulous’ as they claimed and legitimate. And it wasn’t. And that will make a difference if the defamation case moves forward

The point is not that NYT is infallible. The point is that if NYT's reporting should be taken with a grain of salt (and it should be), the Daily Mail should NEVER be relied upon as a source for info.

Totally agree. DM does get some surprisingly interesting scoops, but yes, a piece like this without sources on the record should be viewed as the mindless fluff it is

Backing her friends up IS her brand.

Ditching Lively would actually be off brand for her.

Swift is all about her squad.

Karlie and Katy would disagree

She married a con artist from a parasitic family.

She married a Kushner, right?

What about Katy?

Notices that all the instances you mentioned are Taylor flexing her power on her terms. SHE took out Sophie Turner, SHE made the decision to hang with Brittany. Someone invoking her in text isn't really the same thing. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, I'm just saying I don't think it's that unbelievable she'd be annoyed, just like I wouldn't be surprised if she weren't annoyed. Could go either way.

Lively didn't "invoke" TS. It's clear Baldoni was upset about TS talking to him about Lively's scene and that he'd complained about it. Lively is responding to that. She didn't spontaneously say "you know I'm BFFs with Taylor Swift, right?"

Taylor chose to read Lively's scene and chose to talk to Baldoni about it. I'm sure Lively encouraged that but I struggle to believe TS would do that against her will.

Lively doesn't randomly invoke TS in the text. She's not like "are u aware TS is my BFF?!?!" Baldoni brought it up because HE was upset about Swift commenting to Baldoni about liking Lively's scene. But do you think Lively bullied Taylor freaking Swift into complimenting the scene? Because I don't.

You're debating me as if I think Blake did something wrong. I'm not. I'm just saying I can see Taylor swift getting upset that her name was dragged into this mess.

There’s been multiple sources reporting that Taylor was not planning on being in the meeting, I guarantee you she didn’t give BL to refer to her as a dragon in a text.

It wasn’t “random” but that is pretty much exactly what she did do. Curious why you thought she called Taylor “her dragon” if not for that purpose.

I don't know if I necessarily believe the Daily Mail has sources about this, and I strongly believe Taylor Swift and Blake do have an authentic relationship, as naive as that might sound. But yeah, how can you not believe Taylor is at least a little annoyed by being dragged into this?

It could also get worse for her. This Reddit post said Blake was planning to go to the NYTimes MONTHS ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/ColleenHoover/comments/1eqwna5/ok_i_know_a_lot_of_the_inside_drama_for_iewu_and/

And in that post, they state "T swift finds out that the original composer for the movie is someone she worked with in the past that was mean to her, and she says it's either me or him"

More dirty laundry about Swift will probably get brought up the longer this battle goes on.

Wow everything that poster said 165 days ago was true!

It would be insanely controlling of your friend need you to get permission for how you might describe them to a third party. Also, Lively clearly calls Reynolds and Swift her "dragons" in a complimentary way. She is saying they are powerful and impressive. I have no idea why anyone would think Swift would be upset about anything Lively says in that text, other than the fact that her Game if Thrones reference is cringey. But everyone has written a cringey text at some point.

I don't understand why you are picking over every detail, folks.

This is just one enormous pissing contest between two entitled, awful people, that got out of hand.

The two entitled, awful people at issue are married to each other, and their reputations are wrecked permanently beyond all repair 😊

If the trial is scheduled for March 2026 it seems like they will settle - but it also seems that Baldoni can’t and won’t and is in the truly unusual position of not having to cave because of the deep pockets of his partners. Lively must feel like a right fool for suing Wayfarer.

Really? I think it’s quite blatant that Lively is using her proximity to TS to get something for herself. I don’t think TS would like to be used like that. (not to mention the cringe worthy self-aggrandizement in calling herself “Khaleesi.”)
