I am talking to a lot of Democrats who want Trump to succeed.

The problem is the MAGA types aren't going to "get it." And for every MAGA who suffers due to their own policies there will twice as many non-MAGAs.

And they are REALLY, REALLY pissed that the libs aren’t even trying to save them from the oligarchs they voted for.

It’s like watching a bunch of little tweens throw a tantrum and threaten to run away, and their parents just calmly open the door and tell them best of luck.

We’re tired, friends. If you want to burn it down, burn it down. We’ll be hanging out in our bunkers, looking after our friends, and shaking our heads every time we see one of your pathetic go fund mes.

You are so full of baloney. No "MAGA" is pissed about anything right now. They're euphoric.

Yeah....most of my birth family are MAGA and they are quite happy at the moment.

I do hope they suffer the consequences of their vote. But for them to suffer, innocent, vulnerable people have to suffer too. And I'm not OK with that.

I’m a lifelong liberal, but frankly, I think you have to suck it up buttercup. It’s time for Dems to hunker down and take care of their own. Many of us will benefit from Trump’s economics; I honestly believe we need to take a break from trying to save voters from themselves and let them actually feel the consequences of their actions. I’m tired of hearing conservatives whine about Obamacare but then constantly repost or forward GoFundme links for families who don’t have healthcare/emergency funds/safety nets. Red states pass draconian laws on healthcare access or deterring healthcare providers, rather than helping citizens travel to blue states, maybe they have to make a decision whether they live with it, move, or vote for new leaders. They complain illegals or minorities are abusing welfare - stop funding food pantries and let them see what SNAP and WIC provide for their neighbors and family. Democrats have taken on a role as a safety net for the nation, but honestly the nation’s poor and disadvantaged don’t give a sh*t. Increasingly they are single issue voters, voting against their interest. So let them see what that means - they bought into the idea that they can raise themselves up by their bootstraps, so now is the time. I’m going to prepare myself and my family for worst case scenario, and would rather throw a smaller amount of cash at local elections and legal funds.

This is exactly what I did. That was a Christmas present to myself. I am taking care of my little family and not thinking about the others. I even stopped my charitable donations to the food bank and churches. So many people chose not to vote or voted for Trump's policies. They can feel the impact on his policies because Trump doesn't give an fu&&k about them.

The oligarchy fleeced the rubes, so make the rubes pay?

How about make the oligarchs pay? How about cancelling Amazon and FaceBook and Instagram and X, and by the way, sell your Tesla!! And stop using PayPal!

That would be a much better way to get back at the people who brought you this disaster.

We lived without Amazon and Instagram before, and we can do it again. All Democrats should get rid of their Teslas, their Amazon Prime and FaceBook accounts, and boycott Whole Foods forever!

What? It's "convenient" to have those things? You "can't" get rid of Amazon because of ....??

We can do that and still say let those who love Trump's hate so much live with it. I am too tired and too old to continue trying to help and care for people who don't share the same sentiment.

I have the same feeling for those non-Trump voters who voted third-party and those who chose to sit out the election and not vote. Same as voting for Trump's policies

To be clear, I’m not interested in saying “I told you so”. I’m just done contributing to the social net that saves them from themselves. For years democrats have attempted to embody the idea of caring for your community, everyone chipping in to help raise all fortunes and provide for those who can’t. When voters rejected it over and over and instead elected politicians to tear it down, liberals have worked to “fix it” and help those hurt. I’m tired of it and tough love doesn’t mean I have to engage. The number of conservative social media posts I have seen asking what is going on, Trump hasn’t done anything yet, why are Dems asking if these are the results they want - most have no idea Trump tried to freeze federal funding for Medicaid, WIC & SNAP, grants that fund their healthcare in rural Appalachia… There is no actual internal motivation to even be well informed - most Americans just want news spoon fed to them by commentators who also tell them what to think. The only way to encourage anyone to pay attention is natural consequences. So any Dems/non-Maga voters have to let it happen.

I’m a fed employee and just browsed some of the comments on Twitter basically wishing financial ruin on us all, claiming we are a scourge on society, etc. I’ve given 15 years of my life to a job that has a very real impact on the lives of some of this country’s most vulnerable, low income people. Other feds are keeping air travel safe, keeping our food supply safe, etc. And in return we are hated by the people who voted for Trump.

I’m sorry but I can’t have an oz of sympathy for someone who wants me and my family to suffer. They are positively gleeful at the idea of us getting fired and never finding jobs ever again and then … I don’t know, I’m guessing they’d be fine if we all go die in some gutter somewhere.

Trump supporters are some of the nastiest most vile humans that exist right now. I wish them everything that they voted for.

Go cry over your resume. This isn’t the place.

So you’re doubling down on proving MAGA is miserable trash.

If I could snap my fingers and make all the pain go away for the benefit of those who didn’t vote for him I would.

But the problem with wanting Trump to “succeed” is that his definition of success involves ruining the lives of normal everyday people who aren’t billionaires.

If he’s hellbent on this then I hope those who voted for him get a huge reality check when their grocery prices go even higher and we end up in a bunch of expensive conflicts with other countries and they can’t get the Medicare and SS because half the federal workforce is gone.

I will not care. We all knew this would happen and they voted for it anyway. And even after a literal Nazi salute during inauguration followed up by social media Nazi jokes, they keep on supporting this administration.

Taylor Swift did that same salute, you know.

Of course Democrats want Trump to succeed but in a good way. We are hoping the bad things he’s trying to the courts will block and the good things, if any, go forward. We support our county.

To be fair neither were doing a Nazi salute. Sick media. She did a similar hand gesture as Musk for sure. The left will lose again if they continue down the Nazi and media lie path.

You are acting illogically. You are punishing innocent people just to satisfy your petty frustration? People need food. They are hungry and you will withhold charity to punish them for what? Your own feelings? That’s sick. That’s not progressive or empathetic at all.

It’s surprising because this didn’t happened when he won the first time.
Now when it happens the second time,
It is like Trump I hope you will do everything you promised.

10 years of evidence and explanations haven’t change their minds, so “natural consequences” it is.

I’m tired of all this success. I want all of us to be losers again.
