That M&D team is set. Hard to see them making any meaningful moves. Heros on the other hand has flaws. They have a big roster and a lot of girls that barely play. I can see them making changes.

Yes. MnD, MDU and HG are set. DC families are delusional for thinking they’d make the teams anyway.

BLC ends in 8th. Doesn’t it make sense to try to get on a club with a HS program unless you are one of their best players?

Not discouraging at all. Just stating facts. MnD has already had open practices and poached players. HG is not set. Or at least as pp said, they have flaws and gaps to fill.

My understanding is that HG mostly targeted Baltimore area players. Others may have better information.

Was there any offers handed out from the Mnd open practice? From what I heard they just made them do drills to get a look at new players.

HG recruits players regardless of where they live. If your DD is willing to travel and good enough, they will take her.

Unless you are one of the 5 best players in the country, the Baltimore area clubs aren't targeting any players from the DC area teams. There's more and better talent in the Baltimore area to select from.

We’ve have exposure to recruiting from both teams. In our experience MnD was more direct about pursuing a player for tryouts. Almost to the point of saying if you tryout, you’ll get a spot. Coaches took time talking to DD and getting to know her.

HG beat around the bush about it and I know they were interested. Sent some emails asking to tryout.

In hindsight, it was a noticeably different experience. Curious about other experiences.

This is exactly the reason why I don't want my DD to tryout for this team.

Even if she makes it, she has the Capital tryout process to look forward to in a couple years. To see how big of a crap show that is, go look at 2028 Girls thread.

I have not heard of HG giving out offers before tryouts. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I do think they already know the players they want heading into tryouts.
