It looks like we have eight DMV teams for 2030: BLC Blue, MDU-Bethesda, M&D DC Black, Pride NoVA, Pride Loudon, Stars LB, YJ DMV, and YJ VA.

BLC Orange is now defunct, not sure if M&D DC Red is fielding a team or not.

It is TBD if MDU-Bethesda will be competitive or not.

Not a YJ DMV Parent, M&D DC Parent, or a “Capital Hater” but it would be great to see YJ DMV or M&D DC improve and give the Baltimore clubs some competition since YJ and M&D DC continue on through High School and aren’t considered feeder clubs for Capital.

It'll happen, just not in our daughters timeline. MDDC has a strong focus on building the younger teams. They will succeed even if they have to pay for it. MDDC will benefit the most next year from a strong group of the BLC girls not headed to Capital. Who knows with MDU Bethesda or any of the YJ's. The Stars girls will bolt for Capital. Pride is the new MC Elite, although there seems to be some life in the local 2030's.

Pride NOVA didn't lose many returning players and they did win the Mid-Atlantic NGLL (B) bracket in the spring. They should still be competitive.

Wow. How pride has fallen that someone has to come on here to boast about them winning the B bracket of NGLL. Yikes!!!!!
Who are your favorite teams?

Not pride that’s for sure. BLC

YJDMV lost a bunch of starters from key positions to BLC.

YJDMV lost 2 players to BLC, which was fine, but gained 3 strong players from other teams. They should improve

Sounds vague and unlikely. Good luck to all area teams this year!

You don’t know what you’re talking about. They lost 2 players. One was a key player. They gained 3 players that more than make up for those losses.

It’s becoming a pattern across multiple states/cities. Someone builds out a great local lacrosse club and then sells it. Post sale, club falls apart. This will repeat itself across multiple cities far into the future.

Not a Pride parent but winning the NGLL B bracket out of 20 teams is a good accomplishment for the Nova Team with the Loudon Team going undefeated in regular season NGLL play, congrats to both teams!

It sounds like Pride NoVA is returning most players and likley picked up a few, hopefully Pride Loudon can say the same.

Lets see how both Teams do in the Fall and whether they make the jump to the A division in the Spring. Only three Teams from the area played the A division and only one had a winning record, it will be nice to see more representation in the A division if the Teams can be competitive.

BLC parents continue to show their grace and humility, never change

They'll have to change next year.

Why do they have to change?

BLC only goes through 8th grade, so their daughters will have to change teams, the parents will remain the same.

That Pride team has come a long way from a few years ago but they needed to be in the b brackets. And winning the regional championship is great for them. I would hope they keep those kids in the b brackets where they’ve thrived.
I think the bigger issues for the dmv area especially northern Va is that the coaching and training is really limited.

Top talent will probably head north to the Baltimore-area clubs
