Wondering if Prep and Gonzaga will have a party together tonight. They seem to go well. 😝

Wow.

Exact same score as STA over Spalding. Huh.

Watched stream. Bullis did not look good. Seniors making a lot of mistakes/turnovers on offense. Off-ball defense was terrible in the first half. It was better in 2nd half, but it shouldn’t take a half to get warmed up. Granted, no Wade or Walker, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. The 25 class is not as noteworthy as many would lead you to believe. Looks like they are still trying to figure out how the pieces fit together re skill sets, but man do they need to take care of the ball better up/down the field.

Having said all that, Bellistri has traditionally got his teams to improve quite a bit, like many of the coaches around here. What I watched last night I don’t expect to see in a month.

Based on the results this week, here is how I see it.

1. Prep - the cream of the crop with their offense.
2. PVI - Panthers have won 5 straight.
3. SJC - some question marks after only putting up 7 goals against DeMatha, the last goal comes in the final 10 seconds of regulation too.
4. Bullis - count on them playing their best ball in April / May, they always do
5. Gonzaga - Eagles play with a ton of grit and hung with Prep last night
6. St. Albans - Bulldogs won 3 out of 4 games against MIAA competition.
7. Landon - the administration should consider bringing HOF Coach Bordley back from retirement
8. DeMatha - close game with SJC keeps them in the top 10
9. Episcopal - the Maroon put up a good fight with PVI yesterday
10. St Stephens - Saints are very young but they are extremely well coached.

They are ok. One good pole and one good attack. Decent skills but no real threat to any of the top 10 teams.

Bad loss for The Heights. Definitely the better team from what I have seen.

Is Gonzaga Culver tomorrow being streamed?

St. John’s on top until someone in the DMV beats them. Looks like it’s getting close to happening but hasn’t happened in 3 years.

we will see what SJC shows up on Tuesday vs PVI.

The team that beat BL or the team that hardly knocked off DeMatha.

We will. Think either team can beat PVI.

Regarding SJC... they are young this year and clearly not the same squad as last year. The loss to the Academy of the New Church still really stands out to me. While they have 4-0 record, hardly beating Germantown Academy who is historically at the bottom of the Inter-Act in Philly, makes you wonder how good this team really is.

Huge game this morning between Culver and Gonzaga!
