Do your kids talk? Mine do. I’m not going to ask them to lie.

Our family is traveling to us instead, from all over. I’ll take them out to eat and to see the sights. Bring some much needed business to DC. You’re welcome!

Ah, yes! Because we all know that there is a special bubble over DC that means you can't get the virus from restaurants HERE and while visiting with family HERE, but ohhh Lordy, you go visit Grandma Marge in Arizona and go to ARIZONA restaurants?? all bets are off!!

My kids are smart enough to understand when not to talk about certain things. You don’t need to teach your kids to lie. They will learn it soon enough to surprise you. And sorry but you are putting your kids’ peers in danger as much as you would travel out of state

I sensed a bit of sarcasm in the prior post, because yea, these rules assign a disproportionately greater risk to travel when there are plenty of local avenues to spread covid. I mean, what does it matter if I drive my family to my parents in upstate NY vs. them traveling to us? It doesn’t really. Luckily our preschool just requires a negative test to return rather than a quarantine.
