3 syllables for me, and berry definitely sounds more like berry than bury. I grew up in Appalachia with parents from the deep South and Midwest.
But when my dad is being silly (which is often) he'll call them strawbs or strawbrees in a somewhat affect voice. He also likes to say raaahsbree for raspberry. |
