Agreed. I am sad for your boy. Find a more stable situation for him as soon as possible. It sounds like he is going to thrive at school. |
I am not sure where you work - I am a huge fan of the leadership at I Dream Academy https://www.idreampcs.org/ |
This was my though as well. I'm less sympathetic to the "after only 2 days" line of thinking because Covid doesn't care about the calendar. But it sounds like they haven't published clear guidance about what constitutes close contact and whether and when individual cohorts vs the entire school should be impacted. Plus. the lack of communication is totally unacceptable. Our school texts, robo-calls and emails everything. This year is going to see lots of Covid disruptions. Schools can't control that. But they can control how they react and communicate with their communities. Based on what OP posted I would be running away from SS. |
+1. He really does sound like he's going to do great, and the best thing you can do is get him in a stable learning environment. |

School leadership should have a clear program in place that starts with CDC / OSSE / DC requirements and tailors them to the unique environmental elements of the school.
Observations are that when risk mitigation protocols are followed, spread is limited in school environments. SSMA has always had problems with communications and decision making. Find another place for your child. You will be much happoer. |
