Just thought I’d bring this back to show how stupid OP was.

Who’s making the decisions at the White House? Butt’s-been-wiped in chief surely isn’t. My uncle has the same mental decline.

China and Russia laughing at our woke current state of affairs.

Uhhh…what?
No one is going virtual. Stop it.

A few cases at kid's school, all before school started. Principal made clear virtual would not be happening.
It was sad listening to parents who fell for the fearmongering and were complaining about kids playing outside without masks.

Not only are they not going virtual, if a kid tests positive in an ES class only the few kids seated closely are quarantined. The rest of the class stays at school.

Sounds like a good plan. Should have done it last year.

Same at my DD’s elementary school. We were told there is assigned seating everywhere to cut down on the number of children who would have to be quarantined as a close contact of a positive case.
There is absolutely no plan in place for DL. If a child is quarantined due to active infection or close contact, there isn’t even the option of concurrent virtual instruction. So all this fearmongering is pointless.

I no longer have any kids in LCPS, but I was shocked to drive by an ES today and see kids playing outside at recess without masks.

Does covid take recess as well?

Why is OP stupid? Over 300 students are currently in isolation for LCPS. The first day of school was two weeks ago.

And there’s 86,000 students in LCPS. That is NOT a huge number considering, certainly a number worthy of shutting the schools and going online again. Kids and families and teachers cannot sustain that indefinitely. I’m a teacher and I’ve had multiple kids out for exposure and testing and sickness this year. It’s whatever. They keep up at home or ask what they missed when they get back. We live with Covid now. Kids have to be in school.

The operative word in your comment is “outside”.

Yes it does. Outside spread is not worth worrying about. The only shocking thing is that the school was allowing it. I've seen covid monitors making sure kids were distanced outside. Parks and Rec is no longer enforcing restrictions on outside sports, other than stay away if you have covid symptoms.

At this rate, there will be 10% of kids quarantining throughout the year, and 90% getting full instruction in person, with 10% getting 95% instruction in person.

Would sending teachers and students to die in death camps would be considered unlawful?

HUGE EYEROLL. These histrionics don't work anymore. I guess it doesnt matter to you how incredibly damaging distance learning was to children (especially poor children) last year.

Heads up everyone -- pp wants to speak for the poor children. Won't someone think of the poor children?

Heads up: You have no idea what you're talking about.

Of course I do, lovebug. I just called you out and put you in your place about your concern trolling. Now, sit down like a good girl and keep quiet.

Not yet. The "lockdowns forever" crowd must be going crazy. My 8th grader loves being back at school.
