Eff off. |
Oh FFS. The hysteria! |
Jeff needs to close this thread. Obviously a hysterical, drive-by OP trying to stir the pot. |
Heads up everyone -- pp wants to speak for the poor children. Won't someone think of the poor children? |
Heads up: You have no idea what you're talking about. |
No way. LCPS teacher here. This isn’t being discussed in any way by admin, higher ups, anyone, not even as a “what if.” It’ll be individual quarantines, maybe classes or schools, but there’s no way they will go full district wide virtual again nor would it make sense to. Absolutely none of my colleagues nor I see it happening. |
So when is DL happening again? |
It’s not. Do you understand what a “law” is? Isolated closures for outbreaks only. It’s VA SB1303. |
You know, I don't understand why they say DL can't happen when it was offered to a small group. Either it can or it can't. Open the opportunity back up, when the door shut for that option they made it very unappealing and the Covid numbers were great at that point. |
They only have the staff for the DL kids that chose the biding option this summer. All other staff is in a classroom. There are no extra teachers lying around. You can always homeschool. |
Zieglers email today told you: it isn’t |
No district is going to admit it before 9/8, but they'll probably put it back on the table when enough parents get squeamish and start pulling their kids to homeschool. Elementary schools in particular cannot risk losing 25% of a grade level and that's exactly what will happen if there are dozens of cases at a particular school. |
Anybody who was going to homeschool already was before the year began. Nobody is pulling and starting this in any large numbers |
Want to bet? A lot of people made that decision before Delta was a factor. Parents are starting to reconsider. |
Not many are. It’s not 2020. |
