Looking at the data in SCHEV, W&L is about 13.1% African American + Native American + Hispanic, vs. 14.8% at UVA and 15.5% at William and Mary. So not that much difference there.

The big difference is that W&L is only 3% Asian vs 17.5% at UVA and 11.1% at William and Mary. Asian students appear to have lower enrollment in SLACs overall and higher enrollment in schools like engineering.
