As you get to the state level the talent pool is pretty good. District level is not the highest out there but state level in a state as big as VA you do see some talent.

Guess my kid didn’t make the call back list. Traffic was horrible and we didn’t make it until we saw kids walking out. Next..

If your kid really wants it, just email the coach and ask to come to district training. Should be no problem.

We got an email for call backs or kids that didn't make it- to come to next session.

Did you receive an email? or nothing at all?

Does anyone know how the odp inter regionals in FLorida are organized... we are new to the madness and the info available before commitment is lacking.

What do you mean how they’re organized? You mean where players are staying or how many games etc?

Was it me or did yesterday's session at Lewinsville appear dis-organized at the beginning? I also thought they could have used a few more coaches watching the players.

more coaches means more paychecks which isn't efficient for a money grab

The intent is for team to stay, train, eat, play all week together... but a parent has to hand them off at Orlando airport. Is it a closed camp or tryout atmosphere, or is it more like a tournament where families can watch?

Families can watch the games but not the trainings. Pre-Covid, players stayed and trained at IMG. Parents could stay in the area and come watch the Interregional games. The level of play was good and a few players were selected for the National camp in January.

It seemed really disorganized. 2 coaches for all those kids. I'm hoping that a lot of people switched locations after they announced the field change last minute and that they will be better prepared next week. I don't think I even saw any goals.

I had no idea ODP was even a thing anymore. On the boys side, top players do not participate as they more than likely play MLSnext/ECNL. Def a $ grab today folks.

If your players the next tier down and they're not going to be playing or training with MLS next or ecnl this is a pretty good option. There are a lot of very strong players outside of those few teams and some of them show up in odp.

There are several ECNL players doing ODP and, not surprisingly, many made the East Region invites.
