Sugar free jello sold in refrigeration section in individual cups topped off with sugar free cool whip. I think jello is only 10 calories

A chocolate craving substitute that helped me was to sip a cup of diet hot chocolate at night. Some brands are better than others.

Four pages of thread and no one mentioned to eat a piece a fruit. Only small portions of candy bars and ice cream.

I think you should go cold turkey on the sugar, including highly processed carbs and add a lot of fat , fiber and protein to your meals and have a cup of tea after meals (I love cinammon apple spice). Or maybe a cappucino with some cinammon. It will suck for a week and then it will disappear. Make sure you are eating big meals. Dont worry about calories for a while as long as its low sugar and low in processed /highly refined carbs.

Sounds to me like you have trouble controlling your insulin--spikes after a meal, causing your blood sugar to drop then causing you to eat more sugar....this is the pathway to diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

If you really must get something junky, then go out, and eat it outside. Do not go to the grocery store and bring it home. For example, go to an ice cream store and get a scoop in a cup, and enjoy it. But do not buy a pint/quart/etc at the grocery store and bring it home. Either that, or make it yourself from scratch (ie, make the apple pie, don't buy the apple pie).

And be kind/patient with yourself. 10lbs really isn't a huge deal.


NP. Totally agree with everything here. Summer is a great time to switch to fruit - stop by a farmers market and pick up a basket of peaches, nectarines, canteloupe, watermelon, cherries. I have a huge sweet tooth and can satisfy it with these.
