Don't waste time on other stuff until you've built up enough strength so that you can do at least 8-10 pullups unassisted, can bench press nearly your body weigh, and can squat your body weight (barbell).
They're the best, because they're compound movements. Once you have a solid base of strength you can move on to isolating more specific groups.
Very very few women can do 8-10 pull-ups unassisted ever.
Because they never try. 8-10 pullups isn't even elite level fitness for a woman.
This is so dumb. 'Elite fitness level!!!' As if that's a thing that's meaningful or useful for anyone who hasn't already opted in to that particular set of goals and values. Like, I bike casually. It gets me to a place, and it's fun, and it helps get me fitter. If some biker comes along and tells me that if I trained differently I could be an "elite level biker", and that the only reason I can't do what they can do is that I haven't tried, I'd tell them to go stuff it. The reason I haven't tried is because that's not my goal. Most women are not that interested in doing a bunch of pull-ups and that's ok. It doesn't diminish from your achievement or whatever that not everyone thinks what you did is particularly important. It's a hobby with some benefits. That's all.
