Why does DC want to keep out the Bureau of Land Management? They support a lot of jobs here. |
Try and unbubble for a bit. |
| I've been riding it at my own risk for the better part of two decades. Still not surprised by the inability and incompetence. Just par for the course for WMATA! |
I suspect that this is a troll post. But if not, then no, it is not kids being kids, it is assault. |
What does that mean? |
| Isn’t metro kind of a jobs program? I’m sure the only qualification to work there is a pulse. |
| That's horrible, but it's still safer than driving. |
It's obnoxious. It's not getting punched in the head or worse, which is kids being kids. And assault. |
| I stopped riding metro for 3 reasons- the escalators malfunctioning, fires on the track, rising crime down there. They've pretty much addressed the first two.... |

I had a man rub his privates against me and another grab me with his hands. I also had a drugged or drink guy offer to take his pants off right outside the metro entrance.
Men are gross. I wear a thick winter coat when it’s cold. And when it happens, I begin to narrate VERY loudly what they are doing so the entire car can hear. That gets them off me in a jiffy. A woman I know looked up to see a man fondling himself while looking at her. Yeah, I don’t plan to ride metro anytime soon. |
Oh. My. God. You can tell the post written by elderly out of date men. |
|
It used to be the jewel in the crown, The envy of other transit systems. It also used to bring a lot of folks + revenue in from Virginia / MD for weekend partying.
Ugh. "Can't have nice things" |
Interesting that you would use the analogy of a dining experience review in a thread about sexual assaults and crimes. Not even remotely appropriate. |
| I am not surprised and stopped riding the Metro since back in 2005 when I was held up at gun point and nobody from the Metro station manager to the Metro police were the least bit concerned. They didn't even take my information to follow up. I never rode the metro after that. All the police did was look for them on the train (it had already left the station). |
I doubt an elderly man would excuse that kind of behavior. Look to the young men who are engaging in these assaults. |
