Absolutely not. And I bf both my kids for 2 years each. NOPE. It would be formula if bf failed for whatever reason.

NP actually premier used to just die. Now we can give them formula if their mom can't breastfeed. The miracles of modern science. People forget what is "natural" is for your baby to die.

This is an old thread, BUT, for anyone who is considering doing this, check out the multi-episode documentary on Netflix titled (Un)Well. The episode "Bulking Up with Breast Milk" follows around men who are purchasing breastmilk off Facebook Marketplace in order to add it to their protein smoothies to try gaining muscle. A doctor who was interviewed gives a good explainer of the difference between a Breastmilk Bank and receiving it directly from an individual. There was also scientist who tested samples of breast milk off Market Place and said some of it had more harmful bacteria than sewer water.
