You guys can't even handle quoting posts on DCUM. Why would I listen to anything you say about technology? ![]() And it's very clear you never had to take yourself off of that Krieger mailing list. I'll never willingly give my personal information to any of those nuts. ![]() ![]() Anyway, it's sketchy AT BEST. |
There is no need to "hack" secure voting software if get someone to use your iPad. The browser on the iPad will easily store the data. Do you really not know this? |
Dear lord. Those campaign workers probably already have my name, address and birth date because the campaign likely requested a copy of the Virginia registered voter rolls long ago. I took a photo of my ballot confirmation number with my phone after completing it on my computer. You could also write it down with a pen and paper. The rest of this seems to be pretty deep into crazy territory. You think campaign volunteers are going to surreptitiously screen shot your personal information and ballot number (which would require multiple screen shots while the voter is the middle of completing their ballot) so they can do what? Go back and look at your ballot later to see who you voted for and then do absolutely nothing with that information? The conspiracy theories are getting pretty nutty here. |
No - the data is saved in fields in the browser - no need to screenshot anything??? This is pretty basic browser functionality...I assume you've used a browser before? ![]() |
The ballot confirmation number would not be saved in a data field. And the data that is, the campaign already has. So again, in your nightmare parade of horribles, what is the campaign going to do with this data you are so convinced they are harvesting? |
I’m not “convinced” they are doing it. ![]() Just saying that - or worse things - could easily happen which makes it _inappropriate_. Why cross that line? It makes me question their methods and integrity. If she’s willing to do inappropriate things during her campaign what would she do on the SB? |
Just ran into a volunteer for Miranda’s campaign. They didn’t have an iPad. They just were handing cards at a park and telling folks they can scan the QR code to vote. I had a lovely conversation and asked if they were providing voting devices (after seeing this thread). She looked at me with confusion and said there were inperson voting options if unneeded help. |
Thanks, “volunteer” |
![]() Glad to hear they aren’t actually doing it. |
I don't think Miranda Turner's campaign ever had the intention of handing iPads over to voters. They're just GOTV-ing in public spaces, like any good volunteer. It's Mary Kadera who planted that idea in our collective heads. |
Exactly. |
Y’all...this is such foolishness. How many people don’t already have a voting device on themselves AKA their own cellphone? Why are people making a BFD about something that probably wouldn’t even need to come into play? |
So Kadera’s supporters are spreading conspiracy theories? That figures. |
Like who we have on their now are not nightmare's! I try not to think of how disappointing they were in the return to school issue. we need someone like Symone to shake things up! I will vote for Mary for now, but if Symone runs again would definitely vote for her again. |
If you think RTS was a disaster, Miranda is your candidate. If you think APS handled it just fine, Mary is your candidate. |
