BRYC Elite coaching assignments

Why would put their elite team in the lowest possible bracket? As bad as the ECNL team has performed this year here's the 2nd team in the lowest possible bracket in their age group. If bridge teams are out performing your academy teams there is a serious problem with development and lack of good coaching.

Why you want to make the decision for others, some good kids want to join bridge teams only. It has nothing to do with the club. The options are there. it is a personal decision.
There are always independent rec teams better than the travel teams, nothing to see here.

You do not compare the bridge teams with travel teams. They are different. The travel club coach has no business over the bridge teams.

Where are you seeing the brackets?

The Virginian site right on the front page or the teams page. Seeing similar things in girls brackets - bridge teams above elite. Odd.

I agree with you however the bridge teams at BRYC are part of the club. The club constantly boasts about the academy the elite and the ECNL I just like to point out that they are no better than the bridge team. Its more about the mighty elite team who has the paid coaching the better field space and they are in a lower bracket than the bridge team who is looked at more as a step child at BRYC.

This is common now for BRYC Elite, especially on the girls side. The bridge teams are better then most of the academy teams. And the academy coaches put their teams in the lower brackets to try and get some wins. It mostly comes down to coaching - the BRYC elite side is coached by player's parents. You really are just paying for parents to train and develop there own kids rather than developing the other players. It's crazy that people will pay that kind of money to have kid's parents coaching what is supposed to be an elite travel program.

Which girls teams are coached by player parents in BRYC Elite Academy? For the ECNL/Composite pools not a single one is coached by a player’s parent that I am aware of.

We were talking about the boys U14 brackets for the Virginian
The elite 07 team is in a lower division with a paid coach than the former odsl team that is parent coached.

U9 but the coaches are quite good/ licensed and the U9 top team is better than the other bridge team currently. There was an influx of players/talent into that age group this season.

I would bet that is an 08 team playing in an 07 division.

There might be 08s on it, but both Bridge teams also have several 08s playing for them. From what I’ve heard the tournament director was asked about this ridiculous situation, and They said it was an oversight. To me this is all function of the separation of the rec program from the Academy program. But with a ODSL folded , that will fix itself going forward.

Whoops that was supposed to say particular not ridiculous

Come join the girls Academy/Elite/ECNL at Robinson HS upper turf. We have one field for 8 teams. What's a few more? The more the merrier! Every team can have 1/16th of the field to use.
