Really? That’s good to know |
Will there be any additional coaches added? I know on the girls side the younger groups could use 1 or 2 more. |
They should try to get AG to coach — several of his rec players are now in the program and the kids/parents love him |
Will any of the bridge teams or coaches become full academy status next year? looking at pricing will that be affected at all? |
Maybe They should do a complete swap and send boys coaches to the girls side and vice versa. It cant hurt them any worse than they already are. |
Do you have any DC’s there? |
I have a U14 who plays for CJ. We are happy with him in general. We do see how some parents would be rubbed the wrong way by him. |
Do you know if cj will be returning with that group for next year! |
To be honest the best thing would be to changed coach and at least 75% of the roster. Many of these kids are here because club loyalty over performance. |
That requires other kids to tryout, right? Maybe they should scout the bridge teams. |
Totally agree because putting the same team out there year after year is bordering on insanity. I feel bad because there are 2-3 boys who have real potential to possibly play in college. Most of the others are just here because of loyalty and the club not being honest with them. I think thats whats hurting us in ECNL play. |
Let me guess, your DS is one of the 2-3 boys. If not, you're okay with your DS being replaced? |
This and how do the other players affect those 2-3 boys with potential of playing in college? Are you worried about the club getting kicked out of ECNL and therefore less exposure? If so, then those 2-3 probably won't have a problem getting onto another ECNL roster somewhere if that talented. Just not following you and why bashing the other players, who probably are your DS's friends. |
My honest thoughts are the coaches from day 1 have said be patient stay the course. Its a marathon not a sprint. Now going into the U15 phase in the fall. We are worried about the team not getting looked at and DS being overlooked by college scouts. When were U11 the club had an older team that won it all and was on the top of the world. It has gotten worse each year since. I think the complacent mind set is hurting the progression of the teams and having a direct impact on future college options. Who knows my DS could be one of the players not progressing enough and holding the team back. I am sure as a team if there isn't more improvement we will all seriously be affected as to college opportunities. |
What makes you think that your talented 2-3 boys will get better exposure in the other ECNL team? Be careful with what you wish, the other team may be full of egocentric coaches/parents. |
