| I thought OP was talking about an actual breed of dog. Going across the country for a well bred animal makes sense. The best ones aren't always where you prefer them to be. Some made up pretend breed is not the same thing. |
Ignore the snarky posts. Enjoy your new puppy! |
| What is the life expectancy on these dogs? Our wee mutt lived to be 15. I couldn't bear to get a dog with the shortest life span. |
How can they say 'best of both breeds'? That's like saying that our kids are going to have my husband's height and math brain and temperament, my eye color and curly hair. Instead they might have as well be short, have my art brain and quick temper, and his eye color and baldness. |
It's utter BS, meant to dupe people that have more money than good sense. |
+1 There is no good solution here. For heaven's sake! |

| Wow, I can't imagine paying $3,000 and cross country airfare, plus hotel and other expenses, for a mixed breed dog from a puppy mill. |
Amen. Golden Mountain Dog
Glad I was able to source my Huxerla locally. That's what I'm going to call my Husky/Boxer/Lab mix from now on. |
We just did this too with a flight nanny. 8 week old puppy, cross country with a layover half-way. Great experience for all. Puppy arrived safe and happy. |

This is a horrible idea. The effect on the environment alone is insane. The effect on the poor dog ... I can't even imagine.

| I have a St Barnyard Pyrset. |
What kind of dog, op? I am sure there must be dogs on east coast. |
Pp you can't possibly know the dog was happy! |
Weren’t all breeds a made up pretend breed at some point? |
