It’s a thankless job.

It does come with the potential to form strong relationships with developers and the business community.

It's definitely thankless when you do a terrible job.

You're all idiots.

Also, it's funny how conservatives don't want DC to be a state, except when they do . . .

You're silly to bring conservative vs liberal into this. In many stats, the fact that DC is urban makes comparing it to the other states apples-to-oranges and both political sides cherry pick the ones they cite based on their agenda.

False equivalence.

“The fact that indoor exercise classes can operate right now, but I can’t dance with my husband at my wedding while I’m fully vaccinated, frankly, just doesn’t make any sense to me.”

People will just move their weddings to Virginia or Maryland. Great job DC government! Once again, your coronavirus rules accomplish nothing.

People can up and relocate your wedding, on very short notice, just like that? Who knew?

It seems like the only rational choice is to either move your wedding, and take the financial hit that comes with it, or keep your wedding in DC and just ignore the mayor's order.

What doesnt seem likely is that even one person will decide to keep a wedding in DC and actually follow the rules.

Ignore Bowser and her “orders”. I can’t believe some of the stupidity that comes out of this woman’s mouth. Her focus should be what the CDC suggests on masking and more importantly - getting vaccinated. Instead she does a side show Bob routine. Nobody listens. She has done nothing for DC.

bowser can ban vaccinated people from dancing at their own weddings, but she can't get her own employees to bother getting vaccinated. ok.
