here is Gayles making fun of Reimer https://mobile.twitter.com/SmPotatoes/status/1386510384601907201

OK, I dislike Riemer more than almost any other politician out there, but Gayles doesn't own the guidance and information he tells people. He's the public health officer after all. He's supposed to give us guidance. And Riemer is just educating his constituents with that note.

The guy is so egotistical that he thinks Riemer should cite him when repeating his guidance. But in any case, I'm not going to defend Gayles but I can see a situation if you work in the vicinity of Riemer for long enough that you would just interpret all of his behavior as craven. Because well...

hahah, true.

Ok what’s the backstory with Riemer? He doesn’t seem well liked but don’t know the particulars....

I have only had limited interaction with him, but through that interaction I came away trying to figure out what the point of him was. He's just utterly useless. He initially comes off as a nice, good guy. But if you follow just any one issue in the county that may be important to you, what you quickly learn is that he is this combination of pandering, disingenuous and incompetent. Everyone that I have talked to that has also interacted with him, basically came away with a similar feeling. Words that other people have commonly used is "disappointing", which is really just a more polite way of saying useless. He does have a knack for self-promotion though, which does backfire on him because when he inserts himself into an issue people expect results and he's too incompetent to deliver. For me though, the worst part about him is that he has this thing where when people confront him about his inaction to do something he promised, he pretends to be totally powerless.

There was a huge backlash and national coverage, whn two people commented that Navarro’s accent was cute. But nothing for this.

I actually know a reporter at the Post and mentioned this to them and they said there was no interest in picking up the story.

It's sad that polarization has impacted journalism across the political spectrum. This is not Hunter Biden's laptop. These are real e-mails that show unprofessionalism and disregard for county residents. We should be able to hold our public officials accountable. All this does is encourage this behavior and further undermines the legitimacy of the Elrich administration. I genuinely like Elrich as a person and agree with him on many issues, but he's lost my vote.

Gayles is a bigot, pure and simple. And yet...he remains in office.

The majority don't have you or your kids, but will unleash in presumed private conversation It's a way if bonding, venting and idea fomenting. I'm sure you do it at your work place. Not saying it's super professional, but people aren't robots and I think usually that's a good thing. This is however especially disappointing +cringe worthy because private schools communities did suspect /sniff out that Gayle's decisions might not be based on science (when they especially needed to be). So here I think it's fair to judge whether the private elite bashing directly influenced the public performance and did they make the right call.

It’s absolutely weird that no one else picked this up- seems like something the Bethesda Beat would at least be interested in but I guess not.

There is only one reason why no media will criticize these piece of garbage. One.

It’s sad that Phil Anschutz has spent tens of millions of dollars to create propaganda platforms designed to harm his political opponents, which include all American public school children.

Anyone who reads DC Examiner is getting suckered by Anschutz. Even if what they write is true. Because they take things that might not be a story and give them air. Clicking on this link is allowing yourself to be manipulated.

If the emails appear in a real news source, I’ll read them.
