| This Brooks Borthers one is probably my all time favorite t-shirt: https://www.brooksbrothers.com/Garment-Dyed-V-Neck-T-Shirt/SN00050,default,pd.html?dwvar_SN00050_Color=DKGR&contentpos=20&cgid=0242 |

Love Pact
They often run out of popular items. So buy quickly when you see something you like. And get on their mailing list to see when items are back in stock. https://wearpact.com/women/apparel/tops%20&%20shirts |
Do you have any of the v-neck ones? I've been considering trying one but often have an issue of the V being too deep in many v-neck shits. I couldn't really tell from the reviews. |
Seems great...if you are an XS which is the only size left. And it doesn't appear to go above medium? Sigh. |

I will say what drives me nuts about Old Navy cotton t-shirts is that they will fit for 2 wears. And then once they've been washed and dried, they shrink UP, but not IN. So if you buy it too big, the shoulders will always be too wide, but the shirt will be too short.
They do sometimes have tall sizes, which I like because it means it ends up a normal t-shirt. I do have a slightly long torso. I just don't understand why places are still selling sh*tty shirts that SHRINK when you wash them. PRE SHRINK IT!!! |
OMG, totally agree. Same with some Madewell tees, I line dry all of them but some still look like sh-t after a few wears, other styles are fine. It's such a crapshoot. |
Huh, I wash and machine dry all my Madwell tees and I actually love how they break in -- by the 2 year mark they are perfect to me. Though I also really like to buy their t-shirts boxy so I buy up a size or two. But I still haven't noticed them shrinking up. I always have that problem with Gap, Old Navy, Target. I think I've finally broken myself of buying tees from those places. They are so cheap and it's tempting to just stock up, but I always regret it. |

They have petite if needed |
PP here- it's definitely not all Madewell tees. My Whisper and Northside vintage ones have been fine. But I've gotten a few where the fabric is just different somehow even though it's similarly 100% cotton. I think last year they were the "perfect" vintage style? I now know to avoid that one- looked great initially but unwearable now, shrunken in the length with a weird stretched-out look. Not even sure how to describe it exactly. |

I'm plus sized (a women's 18) and need recommendations for decent quality women's v and scoop necks that aren't too boxy (I am an hourglass).
Last year, I bought some nice modal tees from, of all places, Amazon's Daily Ritual brand, but they lost their shape by the end of the summer. Lands End is too boxy and the quality at Target etc. is lousy. |
| I like Madewell tees in theory but they always shrink up on me, so they fit great but then become something close to crop tops. |
me too |

I’m generally a Madewell fan but I hate their tee shirts. I keep buying them bc I can’t find a better option but they are terrible quality in my opinion |
We’ll you’re wrong, though I’m willing to bet that maybe we just don’t have the same fit preferences. After lots of trial and error, I’ve found James Perse works better for me than any other brand I’ve ever tried. And that was after trying lots of $20-$40 tshirts from many of the mainstream/affordable brands people are listing here. J.Crew was great before their quality went downhill, though I stopped shopping there in 2014 when an expensive pair of linen pants didn’t even last a whole summer. I also like the fit of Everlane’s t-shirts (though they’re too long on me), but the quality is much worse and they need replacing every year. I’m on my third year with my James Perse t-shirts and they look the same as when I first bought them. Good fit, and long lasting, and they get worn and washed every 1-2 weeks. |
