Does anyone really care about boys ECNL? |
Does anyone really care about girls soccer? I mean, really -- I'll never understand the insane drive to make girls into little sports "stars," the best of whom would be easily beaten by even middling boys. It's like these poor girls don't have any brothers, so their fathers (and mothers?) pour all this intense sports-related desire onto them. |
| That must be a Joke or troll comment. If not then kind of sexist |
Which comment - "Does anyone really care about boys ECNL?" |
|
No...”I'll never understand the insane drive to make girls into little sports "stars," the best of whom would be easily beaten by even middling boys. It's like these poor girls don't have any brothers, so their fathers (and mothers?) pour all this intense sports-related desire onto them.”

Oh, right. Nobody cares about boys soccer. But don't dare insult the girls -- that'd be sexist. lol |
| You noticed I didn’t include “does anyone care about girls soccer” in the quote that I said was sexist. That is because it was not sexist, just like saying does anyone really care about boys ECNL is not sexist. The sexist part was “ the best of whom would be easily beaten by even middling boys. It's like these poor girls don't have any brothers, so their fathers (and mothers?) pour all this intense sports-related desire onto them.” Indicating girls aren’t worth watching bc they would lose to younger boys or that parents must not have sons to be interested in girls soccer. Both comments sexist, but you already know that. |
| Here we gooooooo.........sigh |
| Tbh, no one cares about either side other then the families on the team and presumably, their coach. Outside of that, no one is paying attention. |
| There are a lot of good players on the boys and girls bridge teams. There are good coaches too. But BRYC can’t just draft these players to the ECNL pool because there is a huge cost difference and experience. Some kids like playing locally, play other sports and might likes less pressure? BRYC need to support the bridge teams instead of making them feel like second class citizens. |
Exactly! This is true if any club. Just because you are spending thousands of dollars for your child’s hobby doesn’t mean anyone cares. |
. As it should be. Its a youth sport. Relax. this is not the pros. |
You are correct except for the fact so many delusional soccer parents think their DC is going to be a college or pro star. When they couldn’t be more wrong. |
Most ECNL girls are going to play in college. That’s a statistical fact. |
| Bryc parents, check your email...this is a done deal. |
