If you have a cold you should not be in school. Period. Full stop. |
The fact that this is even being debated shows people don’t have the morals to make this work. |
Most people are in agreement. Then there are the crazy people who will claim teachers are just trying not to work and want to tank hybrid if they answer honestly and don’t go in. Or will say their kids CAN’T catch Covid because kids don’t get it so they’ll send their kid in with symptoms or lie about people at home having it. This is why teachers want to be vaccinated before return and luckily in Loudoun that’s the case. Until you’ve spent winter with hacking kids who are sweating out a fever and can barely keep their eyes open but whose parent made them come to school, or a staff guzzling lemon tea and asking classes to be quiet because they’re pushing through a sick day. you probably don’t get that teachers are heavily discouraged from taking sick days because it’s a burden on the school staff to cover and parents don’t keep kids home for the same reason. |
You should not send your kid to school sick. Why do you think it is ok? |
Some parents just don’t care. P0 is right about sick students and teachers. |
Yes. Because you won’t know if it’s a cold or Covid without a test. |
