When did your sons start caring about their appearance

Same here! Tho he's a bit particular about his (perpetually too short) track pants.

My kid is a swimmer and can't shower at the pool now during COVID, so things have gone downhill. He goes to an all boys school, which does not help my cause at all.

Middle school for my son, so 13 or 14. Started caring about his hair in late elementary school though. He cares a lot about his weight and workouts at the moment. He’s 15. No girlfriends yet.

Junior high—7 th grade. The first week of school DS told me he wanted to dress nicer. It took a while to figure out what that meant—but no more constant athletic wear.
