I love this. What is he like now? |
Did he buy it himself? |
My younger son who is now 12 has always cared how he looks. He notices what is in style and will only wear certain brands. My older one who is 14 doesn’t really care about his looks. He wears hoodies and sweatpants everyday. He is starting high school next year and the 12 year old asked last week when we were going shopping so his brother doesn’t look like a slob when he entered high school. He told me what brands and what clothes to buy for him. |
When he got a girlfriend
17 for one and 18 for another |
He’s like a tiny Alex P Keaton but liberal and his hair and shoes are 💯 He’s the best. I am outing myself to my friends who read this but when he was about 9 he asked if Axe made toothpaste too. He’s feeling himself for sure. To the PP who asked if he bought it, of course not! He wanted hair like dad and water doesn’t work and adult gel isn’t happening on delicate baby skin so, there we found ourselves ordering $20 tubs of toddler hair product off of Amazon. |
My 15 year old DS has Aspie tendencies, so... it might never happen. |
These are all sort of funny! Good to know not too many obsessed with looks and name brands |
I have one who has always cared, and one who started to care around 13 and stopped caring at 17. ![]() |
I love this. |
same here (age 14). Although he will shower and change on the rare occasion he sees friends. |
When he got a girlfriend. |
I remember my BF in high school was 16 years old. While I'm sure he showered regularly (he had a super controlling mom who would not have allowed him not showering) he started caring about his clothes and hair. Drove his mom nuts. It was more expensive! I remember so well how she said blow drying his hair involved buying a blow dryer AND increased electricity use. It was a lesson that has always stayed with me. I'd always blow dried my hair and never given increased costs a thought. |
Same here. Love it! |
DS is 13. Clothes need to be comfy and limit the colors and images on shirts. For the most part his hair is neat, but its kept pretty short, so its hard for not to be neat. He's always like showers and doesn't like to stink. |
Please describe the haircut or upload a photo blurring out your child’s face? My son NEEDS this transformative haircut!!!! |
