How is the first week of IPL?

Including Petula Dvroak today saying kids are alone or so lonely in empty classroom. They are picking and choosing their narrative. My kid has friends, play time, and actual live instruction with 8 other kids, 4 days a week in her school. Why don't they report that?

Agreed. Any, in fact, my kid is in one of those small in person classes, and he loves it. I think he likes the attention from the teachers, while still getting to see 2 friends at school. Compared to being stuck at home with his family it is pretty exciting, apparently.

My kid is in an 11-person classroom. He and other in-person students are so happy and thriving.

My only reservation is the larger virtual classrooms, and kids stuck on devices for longer periods and with fewer teaching resources now that some staff have returned in person.

My kid is back two days a week. She likes the being-home aspect of DL, but says she prefers in-person school to learning on the screen. She's fine with the masks and the other rules. It's not lonely or depressing. She cheerfully goes to school and is happy to see her teacher in person.

Yep. We didn't send our child back, but the kids we know who are back seem really happy with it.

My kid, and every kid we know who has gone back, is happy to be back. I spoke with my kid's teacher, and she is also happy to be back.
