Dang, teacher finally taking dishonest fearmongers to school. |
Could someone please just copy the piece here? Otherwise, many of us won’t be reading it. Thanks. |
100% right |
Exactly this. |
This!! |
I have been willing to return to the classroom since day one. Not tooting my horn. – Teacher |
Absolutely not— CDC guidelines require mitigation. Kids are not vaccinated and need protection. That doesn’t mean they need to be stuck DL. |
+1. Private schools are working because they are doing masks and distancing. They aren’t cramming kids into a room. The only reason they can do 5 days is because their class sizes are smaller to begin with. It’s just a reality that large public schools have to do hybrid right now. |
I can’t believe how many people live in the area and don’t get the local paper. Come on. |
Well yes. I'm a bit tired of the negative spin. It's as if some people thrive on the negative and fail to take time to see the positive. How many times have I heard, "Cases are surging in our area" when that is not the current situation. Similar to 22:05 I have been ready to return with students since day one. |
And if it's not working for your kid, then it must not be working for anyone. Wrong. |
This is correct. Vaccinate teachers, but also maintain social distancing and mask wearing and cleaning procedures for the kids in school. I get it, you all want kids back in school, but don't lose your heads completely. |
As a teacher, I would VASTLY prefer full time to this concurrent nonsense. I teach HS, though, which isn’t cohorted and where the kids, apparently, are old enough not to fall into that “low transmission” category, so I understand why some parents might be hesitant to make that move. |
