Will there be a bidding war I wonder? You really need 500k to renovate and upgrade and deal with all the deferred maintenance.

I like AU Park. It is a gem of a neighborhood in many ways but the prices are getting ridiculous

I'm going to guess this will take time and that in the end the price will be land value and very little else.

Add in fixing cracks in walkway and a bit of landscaping and maybe a chimney issue and you are pretty close to 150k. The back porch alone looks like it need love as it is flat on ground old and windows are aluminum and looks like is leaking as no pitch.

Yeah ... no. We were just quoted $100K only to redo an already finished basement with no change in plumbing.

Where do you live?

I’m going to guess you don’t live in the DMV or you haven’t lived here long.

Says it's expected to sell 99% faster than other homes nearby.

+1.

Op and PP who chides the homeowner’s kids for not remodeling to HGTV trends are just nasty, bitter souls

Oh please. It’s a million freaking dollars!!! Smdh

... which is what land costs close to the Red line in Ward 3. Which you would know if you lived in DC. It’s priced correctly, but that is irrelevant to the reality that that OP and a couple of PPs are nasty for making fun of elderly people.

This house sold in Dec for almost a million.

Much smaller lot and much smaller home.

Clearly (because it is in the details), it is an estate sale and is going through probate. It will be under contract within the week.

I'd like to buy it and just live there as-is like the Addams Family.

But is it just 1,800sf? Looks so much bigger. Very charming.
