Are tons of freckles on a face considered "ugly"?

I've had freckles since I was a young kid- agree that I should have worn sunscreen more regularly as a child and young adult but there wasn't as much emphasis on that in the 80's/90's. They are just how my skin looks, never occurred to me to think about them and I was never teased. The only thing that has come up for me is that I have a harder time matching foundation if I am wearing actual make-up- I usually just use a tinted moisturizer so the freckles show through .

I freckle HARD in the sun and I think they are ugly unless you are a gap-toothed kid under the age of 10.

My 6yo daughter has freckles and I love them and think they're gorgeous. One of my good friends has the pale white, freckled skin of her redheaded mom and the dark hair of her Samoan father. She's gorgeous! I love freckles.

Freckles as a kid are fine. Freckles as an adult are annoying, especially because they spread and change.
