Another house on the edge of Rock Creek Park (DC), this one with a disturbing history

Here's where I'm at.

same, I want to throw up after reading that and I didn't even make it all the way through the article. No way I would ever live in that house knowing what happened to innocent children there.

My late mother lived down the street from this house. I remember passing it on my way to her house wondering who lived there. There were always these ultra conservative signs out in front and it seemed very provocative in an oasis of liberal or moderate leaning families. I did not click on any links because the descriptions from posters were enough to describe what happened in the house. I often wondered why they did not sell the house but I see now it is probably the fact that they overpaid and can't sell for a profit. I also suspect them must have a lot of debt from legal fees. It is a house where you wanted to avert your eyes whenever you passed. Now I know evil lives there.

You can tell what a control-freak dick he is in this article from when they got married. Talk about red-flags.

I know this is absolutely not the topic at hand but this is such a throwback.

“Some grooms are turning to cyberspace for help. Last November, America Online started a site called "The Knot: Weddings for the Real World," a resource that is designed to attract the new generation with its offbeat style and frenzy of information. "I'm amazed at the number of men who are users of the program," says Carley Roney, executive producer of "Knot" (keyword). She estimates the male interest as high as 20 to 25 percent; and on nights when there is a groom-only chat room, it's easily filled.”

OP, why you would publicly post this is beyond me. Are you bored?

Crucifixes and check out with the child porn charges. I feel sorry for his wife on multiple levels.

And of course he was a prominent Republican fundraiser and his wife a Republican political hack. The article describing the abuse is INSANE. How did this pedo monster only get 46 months? Something stinks.

So true.

Yep. It's sickening. Especially with the crucifixes throughout.

Not that child pornography isn't extremely disturbing, but I was expecting something more along the lines of the Bishop's in Bethesda... Quite the reach here, OP.

Same. Fair warning to others, the newspaper articles have fairly detailed descriptions of his abuse of minors. Spare yourselves.

And he only received FORTY-SIX MONTHS in jail! Outrageous, he should never be admitted into society again!!

AND... he only has to register as a sex offender for 15 years!

What in the wide world of sports is up with that BS??

Most likely they had parents and he is one of them. My understanding is that inter family abuse cases are very difficult to prosecute because of the complexities of children involved in a case against a parent. I suspect it’s not politics or money, but getting a family, with kids who may have different opinions on how to proceed, aligned to prosecute. This may have been the best deal the prosecutors thought they could get given the circumstances (whatever they are). We really have no idea what was going on behind the scenes, but I wouldn’t jump to conspiracy.

They didn't breed the testimony from the children, they have all of the files from the computers that he used to search for child pornagrophy on the web.

The ones from his own home were found after seizing his computers.

He also admitted all of his crimes.
