Thank you. Haven’t received that yet. Looking forward to learning more. |
Will those be more or less restrictive than APS’s current metrics? |
This is one of the links in the email https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/VADOE/2020/10/26/file_attachments/1579403/10-26-20%20Updated%20VDH%20Interim%20Guidance%20for%20Mitigation%20Measures%20in%20K-12%20Settings.pdf If you click on the link within that letter, their recommendations look less restrictive. |
The cdc metrics still include some of the APS metrics. It still puts Arlington'd cases per 100k in the high risk factor. |
Yes but the letter lumps moderate and higher risk together, prioritizing kids with IEPs, ELL, and K-3 for in school for these categories. I doubt APS will follow that though, because it basically aligns with the VA guidance that has been there all along that these groups should be prioritized for Phase 2. |
Immediate PP here. I'm guessing APS will use the CDC metrics that are specific to Arlington to have a more nuanced look at the VDH numbers that are regionally based. For instance if the VDH region numbers don't quite meet the level 2 metrics but the Arlington CDC school metrics look good, they might decide to return. But I am completely guessing here. Basically I think it's just another data point for them to consider, and I think they referenced this at the school board meeting the other week. |
Good thing there is another school board mtg next week for them to say something confusing which clears up nothing so we can all obsess over it until the next mtg. |
