There is no way around calories in vs. calories out if you want to lose weight. Some women respond better to some macros than others, but without a calorie deficit there is no weight loss. I agree though that super low calorie diets many women put themselves on can be counterproductive, but for very obese individual there is a place for them if well structured and temporary. Btw. Taubes has received a lot of criticism from people more credentialed than he is on his theory and "research", including from Lyle McDonald who is mentioned above. I could not quickly find his critique now, but here is one of many https://weightology.net/gary-taubes-bad-calories-or-bad-research/ |
You are 100% right. Above pp is Jason Fung disciple and eats keto and does insane IF. It worked for her and she is trying to convince everyone here that such teachings as gospel. What she seems to avoid telling people is that she simply barely eats due to her IFschedule. Hence probably failing to take into account that she was likely to lose weight regardless of her cult ideas. |

OP, I think your approach is very complicated! It creates some sort of an obsession that ends up in frustration...not good.
75% of advice here is also TOO COMPLICATED. I just want to make a few points that are crucial. 1) Stick to only one achievable and simple approach 2) Drop the gadgets (obsession) 2) You do not need to exercise in the beginning, focus on only ONE thing, and that is: 3) Eat less 4) Don't need to eat 5-6 times a day (you're not a baby or an athlete) - eat 2 times and stick to it 5) Try eating 1500 or maybe even 1600 until...let's say Easter and as someone else said: feeling hungry will not kill you. Tell yourself you're just thirty or bored. And believe it! Good luck! You can do it. Be consistent with your initial SIMPLE plan, once you have it. |
