Mindy Kaling gave birth to a baby boy

Uh I would have loved to have had a rich, creative mom who was loving and intentional about parenthood, and who made decisions about protecting my stories from the public. Keep trashing her tho.

I disagree. Lucky kids of a single educated self-made mom who wanted them.

Unlike say a Tiffany Trump whose mom was a cum bucket for a married cheating dad and was booted out after two years when he met Melania.

I am an Indian-American who immigrated here from India and became a naturalized American. My kids are Indian-Americans born in US just like Mindy Kaling.

India is a nation of 1.8billion people. Mindy Kaling or my kids don't have to carry the torch of Indian heritage and culture. 1.8 Billion people can do it for themselves. Instead, my kids and Mindy Kaling and carry the torch for what it means to be Americans and live life like good, ethical, inclusive Americans. And my kids and Mindy Kaling can go and vote for a functional adult in November.

Also stop trashing Marla Maples. She is a beautiful lady and it's not her fault Donald met someone else. He is a cheating douche.

Marla Maples was the someone else. And she had the bad taste to associate with Trump in the first place.

Enough so that my teen DD said she'd like to go that route (meaning, it's saturated enough that my DD has heard of it) So this is an interesting question.

I don't think Mindy was trying to save her "figure". She is not a hollywood slender person to begin with and her 2nd baby happened during COVID. If she got pregnant in Dec or Jan, she would not be showing before the lockdown.

Another celeb also had a baby and no one knew. Mostly the celebs share their pregnancy journey on social media so it is refreshing to not know such details.

Correction - multiple celebrities had ‘secret’ babies during lockdown

No one knew Jessica Biel, Usher, Billy Lourd, Amanda Seyfried, Leighton Meester, or Iggy Azalea were expecting.

January Jones was tight lipped about her out of wedlock child. No one cared. Same with Minnie Driver.

Then there's the slew of white actresses that have adopted while single. No one bats an eye.

Um I don’t care what color you are, having children out of wedlock is unnatural and unacceptable. Children need stability. I recall Angelina and Brad Pitt thinking that it was okay to have children out of wedlock. Their children disagreed and pushed Brad & Angelina for a wedding because even children recognize the need for a family unit.

Getting married before having children (adopted or natural) provides stability for a family unit. Planning for marriage and children allows the parents to create a strong foundation for their children. There is no amount of money that can make up for a stable family unit. Hence, it’s why so many celebrities are off beat (drugs, suicide, depression, addictions, sexual abuse), usually it’s because they didn’t have a strong, solid foundation. Just because celebrity culture is doing it doesn’t mean the rest of the country should participate. It’s common knowledge celebrities often do anything for fame and fortune. (Harvey Weinstein??)

Except, I’m sure if you really had a truly meaningful conversation with your kid they’d admit they’d like to have a dad or a stepdad. Step outside of your dreamland foggy haze that you are living in. All kids desire a two parent household.

Well, I had a two-parent household until I was ten. My father had so many affairs he could have formed his own version of hands across the Midwest. He abused my mother emotionally and physically, drained their bank account, drove us around stoned out of his mind, etc. I had a a 20-year marriage - after which point my husband decided he didn't want to be married - or be a father. I wanted a two person household for my kids. It didn't work out. Women do not need a man to have children in this day and age. We cannot on the one hand say, women and are not real women until they have kids but also say women are not allowed to have kids on their own. You gotta pick one misogynist lane. It's her body. Her life. And it's narcissistic to believe you have an agency to determine what is best for anybody else.

Kids with fathers are more likely to be abused or molested. But that doesn't matter to women like you as long as everything looks good on a christmas card.

Huh? January Jones it is basically accepted that her sons father is someone married. And Mindy has a much bigger current career than those two.
