Yeah, I've never heard this either. However, we are tiny in number and dwindling. So maybe there is something people hate about us! |
Amen. |

Religion is the opiate of the people. Except when there is real opiate to be had. |

You referenced they have kids to go to the school.
In time of Covid when public schools are all virtual, I know tons of non-religious people that are sending their kids to any private school that will take their money. |

This is like the controversy surrounding being Canadian.
There isn't one. |

| I have literally never met an anti-Episcopalian. |
|
Hold up - my Catholic dad absolutely used to be vocally anti-Protestant of all types. He’d scoff at how the protestant liturgy is an empty sacrament.
But that was the 80s & early 90s, before Catholics made common cause with anti-choice Evangelicals. |
| Because they starved and murderer nearby all of Northern Island |
There's a difference between anti Protestantism generally and anti Episcopalianism specifically. IMHO. Both stink. Just saying I don't know too many people who get worked up about Episcopalians. In fact, zero. |
Exactly. The only people I have had to explain this to are people who grew up Catholic in the South and consider themselves and their church to be super liberal. "Protestants talk in tongues!" They're mostly lumping all Protestant branches together and don't really get the High Protestant thing so common in the NE. Protestant = Southern Baptist and all the fringe evangelicals. Never heard anyone get specific about being anti Episcopol. |

| Agree PP- my dad was Irish Catholic (first generation) and had a strong dislike (I won’t use the word hate) due to the Irish politics of the time. He adamantly refused to join us on a trip to England. |
+3. Why does everyone want to feel victimized? |
