Both equally, neither hold a candle to a doulie (bonus points for diesel) |

Lexus RX, Toyota RAV4, Grand Cherokee, newer Chevy Tahoe - a responsible guy with good credit
BMW X5, Mercedes GLE/GLS, Escalade - probably living above his means F150 - redneck or normal white-collar office drone, neither uses the 13k towing capacity |
Well I paid cash for my Escalade. A new fully loaded grand Cherokee and Tahoe are more than X5 as well as a lot of the Mercedes SUVs, and not much cheaper than an Escalade so your stereo types don’t add up. |
Yes, but an Escalade or the German status SUVs are purchased by people who place a lot of value in what strangers think about them. |
Why? A lot of guys work in the trades and need trucks for work. |
I paid cash for mine, too. And yes, I know I’m pretty awesome. My car only confirms it. |
| New shiny truck does not look good even if guy works in trades. Just means that he can't do math and thinks that being able to depreciate something is cheaper then buying used and paying it off. Lot of other things can be depreciated that are more cost effective. |
So? My husband is a big guy, and when we met he was driving a VW Golf Diesel. When he got out, he looked like he was taking the car off like a jacket.
|
No. I'm older than you, and unless there's a good reason for it (tons of kids, work) I don't think you should be driving a big truck or an SUV |
| My BF drives a Porsche Macan SUV. It really matches his personality. |
| My guy drives an old Mercedes station wagon that he bought on ebay. He keeps it pristine condition. We've been together 4 years and I love his car-- oops, I mean him. |
Are you currently dating at 40? |
