Name change at 10 months

Change it. Now. I did it at 7 years old. We never called her the birth name. I regretted not doing it at 3 months, 6 months or a year. It is a hassle to be called a different name other than your legal name.

Do it now! I’ve used my middle name all my life. It’s a real pain now with security about EVERYTHING! I don’t love my DD first name. She goes by her middle name it’s a pain. She’s 22 now and I wish I did it YEARS AGO!!

It’s a big deal and a real pain. Especially now with national identity card and required inspection of health insurance cards. And inoculation records. And prescriptions at CVS. And SS cards for work.
For example my daughter Barbara Katherine Smith goes by Katherine. All her school documents, passports, SS, student id, airline tickets say: Barbara Smith. When you have a surgery they say Barbara Barbara Barbara wake up!! You are wondering whose Barbara? B Katherine Smith sounds awfully pretentious unless you are an attorney.
I wish I changed it when she was a baby/ ES.
Speaking from experience!

Change it.

I go by my middle name and it’s super confusing and frustrating to everyone. Think Larla Michelle. Larla is my grandmother. My bank statements, credit cards, mortgage, and medical records all say Larla. When I go to the dr they call for Larla.

Everyone calls me Michelle. I am Michelle. I did get my company to list me as Michelle as my email and in the directory. When I got married and wanted to take my husbands last name I had to drop my maiden name vs my middle name because o needed to keep “Michelle”. Looking back, that was prob the time to change it but was 25 years ago that isn’t where my head was at.

Anyway, my mom told me recently that she wanted to name me Michelle Larla and considered changing it legally (it was $25 court charge to do at the time) but she never did and the
Longer she waited the more inconvenient it seemed. I’m 45yo today
