Trump Supporters Disrupt Early Voting in Virginia

Look, I hate these guys and think they are idiots, but if they were outside the exclusion zone, they are within their rights. It would actually make me triple happy to get inside to vote for Biden. The only thing that would give me pause is if it looked like they were trying to take pictures of the crowd to figure out who was standing in line. Then I’d call the cops.

I live in a Dem county. The Dems are always out in full force on election day outside of the exclusion zone. It is the law. Either party can be outside of the exclusion zone.

We are not in China where free choice is suppressed and you are sent off to a labor camp.

You may want to learn more about our prison industrial complex. It's not that cut and dry.

The documentary "13th" is available on Netflix and gives a good overview.

It’s not about the voters’ “feelings”, it’s about the illegal actions of the protestors.

The election officials certainly should have called the police. Perhaps they are ok with voter intimidation. Do we know who the officials were that day? Trump supporters?

Nope. They can't yell.

https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title24.2/chapter6/section24.2-607/
B. No person shall conduct himself in a noisy or riotous manner at or about the polls so as to disturb the election or insult or abuse an officer of election.

If they have to provide escorts for voters, then it's intimidation.

What we really need is some Law and Order to take care of those people.

You all were serious about Law and Order, not just covering up for racism, right?

And it’s also different in the pandemic when voters need to line up outside.

It’s annoying, but the best plan here is probably to set up specific “free speech” zones that won’t interfere with the line.

Why does the GOP always have to cheat and intimidate and suppress to win? Serious question. No whataboutism here.

Actually they didn’t.

Stop prattling on and go read some history.

I will be voting early and if a Trumphumper engages in prohibited activity directed toward me, I will call the police, defend myself, and, if necessary, use force to avail myself of my right to vote without fear.

Bring it on Trumphumpers.

Not yet. Check out some of Trump's potential SCOTUS nominees. If we're lucky, they'll let us choose the color for our "modesty garments."

Nov 3 can't come soon enough. I cannot WAIT for Trump to get kicked to the curb. Cannot wait.

Not the rude PP! But seems to me the answer is pretty clear. Their policies benefit a very small group, they're deliberately and provocatively divisive (and just to head others off at the pass, yes, the GOP has been deliberately divisive and us-vs-them long before BLM came onto the scene), and they flat-out could not win by the numbers in most of the country were voting made actually readily accessible to everyone. The party and their platform simply do not have popular support...and they know it.
