It is really weird. I actually realized I gave away, by mistake, a blanket i had intended to keep as a memory. It was to a good friend and I could have asked for it back (still could, I guess) but it just seems SO WEIRD, so I am just sucking it up and keeping a different item instead.
I would return these items asap. |

I think it depends. I'm a FTM and my best friend offered me all the old clothes she'd kept, with the caveat that she'd appreciate anything usable back if they have another kid. She said she didn't care if they were stained, etc. I have no attachment to any of the clothes and I don't intend to separate out things (she didn't seem to care either about anything)-- I was just gonna give her whatever my kid grows out of. If the clothes were all destroyed beyond belief, I don't think she'd really care. It's more like, when we're done, if we can continue reusing, great!
If it's a sentimentality issue, I think it's best not to give those clothes away. If it's a utility issue, different story. |
